Lavinia Stamps December Challenge - Anything Goes

Hi Everyone

December already, where did November go?

Another month and another challenge from Lavinia Stamps.  This month I have two samples for the new Challenge - Anything Goes.  Hope you like them.  Remember there is a wonderful prize each month of £40 worth of Lavinia Stamps, £40! So come along and join in the fun, what have you got to lose?

For the first one I chose a "pop art" theme.  Using distress inks, Mustard Seed, Picked Raspberry, Salty Ocean, Mowed Lawn to some squares and used the same colours on a rectangular piece of card. Using Zen Tall mushrooms I stamped one image on each of the four squares then Zen plant on the rectangular one.  Using a white Posca pen I added the dots for definition.  A little bit of layering and lo and behold one card.

For the second one I used the beautiful stamp "Christmas Night".  After masking off the circule for the moon I stamped on top of distress inks, Black Soot, Faded Jeans and Broken china which I layered and added to a card I had put some black card on.  On top of that I added a Snowflake die (twice!), a little bit of glitter and all done.

Hope you like them. Kx

Acrylics and a card for a Man!

Hi Everyone

Hope you are all having a good weekend and keeping warm.

I went to a workshop with Eileen last month and made this card:

I gave it to a colleague for his birthday and he seemed really pleased with it - I did add a birthday greeting but forgot to take a picture!  As one of my other colleagues (very astutely) pointed out, this was a very different technique for me and one out of my comfort zone but I enjoyed making it and was very pleased with the result.

Hope you like it too.

Have a good weekend.

Lavinia Challenge - Bright Hot Colours

Hi Everyone

November already, another month and another Challenge over at Lavinia.  This month it is Bright Hot Colours.  Such a great challenge for the dark evenings.  Here is my sample:

I have used the fantastic new stamps "Zentangles", these are Zen Flowers 1, 2 & 3 and the set Zen small flower pack.  I stamped the large flowers onto card which I had coloured using Distress Inks, Picked Raspberry, Festive Berries and Ripe Persimmon.  I then covered with versamark and heat embossed with clear powder.  I stamped the Zen small flowers onto "copic" friendly thick card and coloured with my copics and highlighted with a white posca pen.  I cut out the small flowers and stuck to the card with sticky fixers.  The addition of a coloured gemstone finished the Bright Hot colours of my card which I mounted onto black card and then stuck to the card.

So now the nights are darker, get your crafty stash out of the cupboard and join in the new Challenge.  Remember you could win the fantastic prize of £40 to spend on Lavinia Stamps so you could get some of the new Zentangle stamps too as they are just gorgeous.  Pop on over and have a look. Thanks for looking and good luck! Kx

Black, White & Red!

Hi Everyone

Hope you are enjoying your weekend despite the weather.  Don't forget to change your clocks tonight.  This card was for the same colleague who likes black and white but doesn't mind a "splash of red"!  I am using this lovely Sassy Studio Designs image again as I think it is so versatile and just right for that special birthday.

Coloured with my trusty copics this digital image was larger than previous cards as I made a large card 8" x 8" so the extra wide ribbon was not out of place.

Hope you like it.

Thanks for looking and a big thank you everyone for your lovely comments.

Another Black & White Christmas!

Hi All

Many apologies for the long time between posts.  Where has all the time gone?  I have been spending a lot of time in Birkenhead during the week, busy with visitors and decorating.  Very little time for crafting for my blog.  I am here now though so thought I would show you this card I did for my work colleague who likes black and white.  I made this one for last Christmas and was really pleased with it.  I made one for all my colleagues but all with different colours/pictures.  They said they would use them every year!

I hope you like it.  Fingers crossed I will be back very soon ..... Watch this space.
Have a good week. Kx

Lavinia Stamps Challenge - Autumn Colours

Hi Everyone

Welcome back to another month on the Lavinia Stamps Challenge and this month the challenge is Autumn Colours.  I love autumn don't you?  The beautiful colours of the trees are just fantastic.  Here is my sample for the Challenge:

For this one I have used Kraft card as I wanted to "explore" different mediums to use with the distress inks.  It was not as easy to smooth and blend the colours but it was worth the effort.  I used fired brick, spiced marmalade, mustard seed, rusty hinge and peeled paint.  I stamped my favourite Lavinia stamp "vine" onto the card then embossed in gold.  I stamped the beautiful stag and slender mushrooms on the card and added the dots to the mushrooms with the trusty Posca pen.  I cut a frame out of some patterned paper which I distressed then added the lovely fairy "autumn fall" which I stamped and embossed.

I hope you like it.

Now the important bit - join in the Challenge here and you could win a fantastic prize - £40 (yes £40) of Lavinia Stamps.  If you have seen their new products, the Zentangle stamps, you are going to want to join in!  Good luck. Kx

A New Home!

Hi All

I hope your week is going well so far.  A colleague of mine has just moved into a new home with her boyfriend and I made this card for her:

I used a fun image, New Home, I bought from  http://dragonsmoore.blogspot.com/ which I coloured with my trusty Copics and added some elements, the dies of which I have had for years and a couple of new ones too of course.  The daisies are from an edge punch just using the middle piece, I use them a lot as they are just the right size.

I know Lauren liked the card and of course the bubbly that went with it!!

Enjoy the rest of your week.  Kx

Lavinia Stamps Challenge - Add A Flower

Hi Everyone

Another month over - can you believe it!  This month's challenge is "Add a Flower" and the examples from the Design Team can be found here.  Here is the card I made

I am sure I could have taken a better photograph but it is too late now!  For this one I used DI's Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Salty Ocean.  I then stamped the image with black Versafine and added some white dots with a Posca pen to make the flowers "pop".  I backed the card with navy card and also created a border to "frame" the picture using a score board.  To add additional highlight to the flowers I used Glossy Accents.

This card was really easy to do and there are so many colour possibilities.  A very versatile stamp - and lovely too.

So come on and join in the Challenge - you have the chance to win a massive prize of £40 worth of Lavinia Stamps.  What are you waiting for?! Kx

Cheers! You're 50

Hi Everyone

I know it has been a long time but I am finally about to have two weeks at home (still working though) and today is the day to catch up on the correspondence etc.  Today's card is one I made for my Sister In Law.

Not a great photo but you get the idea!  Hope you are enjoying your Bank Holiday weekend and the weather has been beautiful today here in Kent.

Have a great week.  Kx

Jules

Hi Everyone

I know I have been AWOL but life sometimes seems to get in the way of crafting and I cannot even blame the weather!

For today's post here is a Saturated Canary image, Jules.

As usual I have used my trusty Copics to colour the image and used Lili of the Valley papers.  These colours are just gorgeous.

Off on my travels with work again tomorrow ... so much to do and so little time!!

Have a good week.  Kx

Lavinia Stamps Challenge 7 - Anything Goes

Hi Everyone

Another month has gone by and it reminds me of when I was young and my Nan said "time goes so quickly as you get older".  I thought it was so funny to say "Don't be silly, time is time".  Well I know now exactly what she meant - I cannot believe it is August already - did anyone else see where July went?

So, another month and another challenge for Lavinia Stamps - Anything Goes.  What a great challenge.  Here is my design.

For the focus image I used the lovely Moon Fairy, this has got to be one of the loveliest Lavinia Stamps ever.  For the background I used "Fairy Words", slender mushrooms and Stars 2.  I used Distress Inks, barn door, ripe persimmon and mustard seed.  I swiped over with versamark and embossed with clear powder.  I masked the moon and used the same colour DI's for the Moon Fairy.  I did not emboss this as I wanted a little bit of a contrast.

Remember the prize for winning the challenge is £40 (yes £40) of Lavinia Stamps and the only difficulty you will have is deciding which of the beautiful stamps you simply cannot live without!

So pop on over to the Lavinia Challenge blog and join in today.

Thanks for looking. Kx

Never Too Old for Cupcake!

Oh how true!

First of all, a very big welcome to my new followers and also a huge thanks to everyone for their lovely comments, it really makes me feel good when you take the trouble to leave me a message.

Not sure about anyone else but this weather has really not helped the card making.  When I get home from work I am too tired and at the weekend I have too much to catch up on but needs must and here is a card I made one of my work colleagues.

I confess I did do this one in a bit of a rush as I had to go to Birkenhead for a few days and needed the card the next day but everyone at work seemed to like it.  I used the Lili of the Valley image the "ribbon" was also one of their stamps which I stamped on patterned paper (the same as the bunting).  The background was actually bright pink but no matter how many pictures I took it really did not come out looking pink but you get the idea!.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.  Kx

70th Birthday card

Hi Everyone

Wow what a scorcher this weekend.  Hope you had a good one and managed not to get burnt in the sun.

Today I am posting a birthday card I made for my Mum's 70th.  She loves "sweet" images and this one is no exception.

I made this one using oval dies using both card and paper which I put together to make a flower shape.  I added quite a few embellishments and of course coloured the image with my copic markers.  The greeting is computer generated.  The lilac feather added a bit of "softness" and I was really pleased with the result.  What do you think?

Have a good week.

Retirement by the Sea

Hi Everyone - wow what a wonderful weekend we are having; the weather is beautiful and I am told the sport has been good too.

Today I have a Retirement card to show you.  Two very good friends of mine, John and Shirley have just retired and are moving to a lovely bungalow at the coast.  It is in such a lovely spot, ten minutes from the sea and even closer to the Military canal and local town.  I should have made this one earlier but my holiday got in the way so it will be winging its way to them tomorrow.

Unfortunately the photo (as usual) does not do it justice.  The blue paper on the front of the card is a much nicer blue that this shows.  Apart from the greetings these stamps are all from the same set; Kanban Crafts and I bought them as I thought they would make a good "man" card.  I shall definitely be using them again.  Just peeking through from the inside is an anchor which I stamped, embossed and cut out to make it a bit more interesting.

Hope you have a good week. Kx

Challenge 5 - Use A Punch or Die Shapes

Hi All

Can you believe it - July already - and as it is the first of the month there is a new Challenge over at Lavinia Stamps.  There is a huge prize of £40 worth of Lavinia Stamps and this month's challenge is Use a Punch or Die Shapes so pop along and join in.  Here is my sample:

For this card I used Hop Skip & Jump Silhouette as the main image, such a lovely versatile stamp.  I stamped and embossed this and mounted on black card to give added definition.  I then used the stamp "vine" (one of my absolute favourites as you can use all or part of the stamp) using Black versafine again.  I mounted this on black again before mounting on my original white card.  For this card I have used both a die and a punch.  The flowers are from Woodware Multiflower Xmas punch and the leaves are a Crealies Die CLCSII.  I added stickles to the fairy wings and a small sentiment to complete.  I love black and white cards - don't you?

Remember to join in the Challenge and good luck! Kx

Bright and Beautiful

Hi Everyone

Apologies for the absence but I have been unable to blog due to a technical hitch which only affected my computer!!  Something had to be deleted and hey presto I am back again.  Have also been on holiday to Italy.  Visited Turin, Florence, Bologna and Parma.  Even managed to be there when they had a mild earthquake.  It was so hot there; started off around 30 degrees and soon advanced to 42 degrees.  I bet you will be surprised to know I am pleased to be back enjoying 18 degrees!

So here is a card I made a few weeks ago.

This was inspired by my best mate Eileen; her beautiful work can be seen here.

For the background I used two of Ryn's stamps, they are wonderful to use and when used appear so lifelike they are amazing.  I used Distress Inks for the background and pan pastels for the flowers.  Using a white Posca pen to highlight the flowers (and water droplets) is very effective.

Hope you enjoy the week and fingers crossed I will be back soon. Kx

Lavinia Stamps Challenge - Lovely Lavender

Hi Everyone and it is that time of month again.  Yes the fantastic challenge over at Lavinia Stamps Challenge Blog

This month the Challenge is "Lovely Lavender"  Here is my example:

For this card I used a patterned paper to give me a slightly textured background.  I stamped on top with the main image - Fairy Wish.  I used Willow for the top of the image with lavender and Vine at the bottom.  I highlighted the flowers on the stem with a white posca pen.  To give the image a bit of a lift I did a bit of layering then added random stars around the edge of the base card.

I hope you join in the Challenge as there is the fantastic prize of £40 worth of the wonderful Lavinia Stamps - go on ... you know you want to! Kx

Boogie on Down!!

Hi Everyone

I hope you are all having a great Bank Holiday weekend.  The weather in Kent is lovely and sunny and definitely much better than expected.

First of all I must answer a question from Wendy on my last post about the colours used - they are DIs - ripe persimmon, spiced marigold and dried marigold.  I went over the edges and slightly into some areas of colour with walnut stain.

Thank you everyone for the comments you leave and welcome to two new followers, I really appreciate your joining my site.

I seem to be on a roll for men's cards at the moment and this is another one for a work colleague.

I have used a digi image, coloured with my copics, adding the diamond die cuts with a little star all from Spellbinders.  I use these a lot for men's cards as they are so versatile.  Hope you like it.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.  Kx

Do Foolish Things

Hi Everyone

First and most important, thank you so much for your kind comments on my last post - the most comments I have had so far!

Today I am posting a card I made for a work colleage.  I was really pleased with this card; as we all know male cards are so difficult.  I used distress inks to colour the card then stamped the image and greeting which I embossed.  Before heating I partially embossed the area which gave a really lovely finish which I am not sure you can see very well here.  I then coloured a few of the areas on the bike with copics to lift the bike a bit.

I hope you like it!  Enjoy your weekend.  Kx

Decisions, Decisions

Hi Everyone

Apologies for my absence of late, not a lot of time for crafting and when I did?  ... well they ended up in the bin.  I just could not get anything right.  Anyway here is a card I made recently for a cousin's birthday, just right for the person concerned!

I went a bit mad on the flowers but it was an easel card - that's my excuse and I am sticking to it!  I used a Lili of the Valley stamp which I coloured with my trusty copics, added a couple of metal corners and a handbag and the card was done.  This one was hand delivered which was just as well as I am not sure it would have survived the journey by post!

Hope you are enjoying the weekend.

Lavinia Stamps Challenge No 3

Hi Everyone - today is the first day of the the fantastic Lavinia Stamps Challenge No 3.  Pop on over and have a go.  The Challenge is Pastel Colours.
This is my sample.  It took me ages as pastel is out of my comfort zone.  I have used Pan Pastels to colour the backgrounds on which I stamped a selection of the tiny stamps from Lavinia - they are such good value and have so many uses - aren't those Slender Mushrooms just great?  I have also used part of the stamp Dandilions 2, Miniature Flowers, Miniature Group of Hearts and   For the main picture I used Flower Fairy which I stamped in Green Metallic Ink (Encore).

I hope you join in the Challenge as there is a fantastic prize, it's a Bank Holiday weekend coming up so ... get crafting!

Have fun.

Playing with a Sweet Poppy Stencil and micro beads

Hi Everyone and a big welcome to my new follwer.

I had a lovely day yesterday with my best mate Eileen and her fantastic blog can be seen here.  Eileen was showing me how to get the best out of the stencils I bought from Sweet Poppy when we went to Ally Pally so here is the first one I made using distress inks to colour, paste and micro beads:
If you click on it you will be able to see the beads - what a great technique!  As usual the photo does not really do it justice as the colours are much more vibrant.

Thank you for looking and for all your lovely commens.  Have a good week.  Kx

Aimi with Lantern - LOTV

Hi Everyone

Thank you everyone for your kind comments.  I am back today with a Lili of the Valley image which for once I did not colour - it is one of their pre-coloured images, Aimi with Lantern as I wanted to make a quick card and thought I would try it.

You may not be able to see that I have added some additional colour and then glittered it up and also added some glossy accents to "make it my own".  Not sure where I got the bright pink dotty paper from but the larger paper is from the LOTV paper pad "Promises".

We have had lovely weather this weekend and here's hoping it continues as things always seem so much better when the sun shines.  Carry on like this and I may have to spring clean the house!!

Have a good week.  Kx

Happy Anniversary

Hi Everyone

Sorry I have been AWOL recently.  I have a trapped nerve in my neck and it is causing me a lot of pain when I try to sit and craft!  I can just get through (most) of the day at work then by the evening it is a case of stretching out!  Ho hum.  Off to see the osteopath on Friday so hopefully will soon get better.  Some days are better than others so when I had a good day on Monday I put this card together for my MIL & FIL's wedding anniversary.

I have used the lovely Lili of the Valley image "Love Grows", just perfect for an anniversary.  I have also used papers from their new paper pad "Country Lady" - their papers are beautiful and such good quality.  The image is coloured with pro markers and mounted on a Nestie.  I have also used the lovely Memory Box die "Cherish".

Thanks for looking and a big thank you to everyone for your kind comments.  Kx

21st Birthday Card

Hi Everyone

I hope you have all been enjoying the sunshine of a lovely spring-like weekend.  Make the most of it though as it sounds like we will all be having rain at sometime this week.

Today I have a card for you that I made a while ago.  It was a commission for a friend at work for her Daughter's 21st.  She was giving her money as she was saving for a new car so wanted a car to feature.

Here's the front:

I was asked to make a pink card as well!  Think I covered all the bases here.

Have a good week.

Lavinia Challenge 2 - Bright & Beautiful

Hi Everyone

I hope you have all been enjoying your Easter break.  I have just got back from a few days "back home" in Exeter, staying with my Mum.  I am now very relaxed and have caught up with my sleep as well as catching up with the family.

Enough of that, April the 1st so the start of a new Challenge over at Lavinia Stamps Challenge Blog.
The Challenge this month is Bright & Beautiful so pop over and join in, there is a fantastic prize up for grabs.  Here is my design.

First of all I used distress inks to the non pearlised side of Centura Pearl card, using picked raspberry, peacock feathers and shaded lilac for the background then I stamped the beautiful Lavinia Stamps Fairy Castle 2, using Vine around 3/4 of the edge and ended with Willow from the top (all of which can be seen here) to which I added stickles to give it a little sparkle (who can resist a bit of sparkle?).

Thanks for looking.

Welcome Sue as a new follower and thank you everyone for your very kind comments.

See you soon.  Kx

Poppies

Hello Everyone and a very Happy Easter.  I hoep you are all enjoying the break.

Today I am showing a card which was made for a very special lady.

As the lady concerned cannot see very well I have made the card with lots of different textures and also made it very bright.  What she cannot see her Daughter will talk her through.  the Happy Birthday words are secured with wires so they are moveable and with the poppies and bow adding more "touchy-feely" elements I hope it is just right.  I added black stickles to the centre of the poppy to give a raised and rough feeling to the picture.

Enjoy the rest of your Easter.  Kx

Lili of the Valley Baby Card

Hi Everyone

Hope you have all survived the awful snow - we have not had a lot here in Kent luckily but I feel for everyone who has and is still suffering.  I know we all love to talk about the weather here in the UK but come on it is time to stop messing around and give us some sunshine!!  Today I am showing you a card I have made a colleague who is now the proud Father of a baby boy who is yet to be given a name (that's why it has not been personalised).

I have used the lovely Lili of the Valley image "All our Dreams" which I have coloured with Copics.  Apologies for the shadows but hopefully you get the idea.  Believe it not it has been glittered and also has a touch of glossy accents but I think you will have to take my word for that.  The yellow sentiment is not as bright "in real life" as it looks in this photo.

Thanks everyone for all your lovely comments.

A Minature Wizard!

Hi Everyone - I have not been so good with the blogging lately as I have been so busy both at work and at home so have just collapsed in the evenings!

Today I am posting a card I made a long time ago.  I used a Lili of the Valley stamp which I think is just great for young boys.

As usual this was coloured with copics and I added a few magical embellishments.

I hope the weather is kind to you wherever you are and you  have a great weekend.  I am off to the Allhallows Crop tomorrow - a whole day crafting and gossiping - what more can a girl want?  Have fun and thanks to everyone for your very kind comments; they are all appreciated and are very encouraging.

Boat Scene

Hi Everyone and welcome back to my blog.  Today I am posting a card I have made for someone at my work for his birthday.  This stamp by Stamps Happen Inc was lent to me by my good friend Eileen and I am really pleased with the results as I wanted the card to look simple and "clean" which I think I have achieved.  Hope you like it.

Here is a bit more detail - hope you can see that I used Glossy Accents on the footprints to make them look wet.

I am going to have a crafting day tomorrow at one of Eileen's Workshops - it is bound to be great fun and it is always lovely spending the day with fellow crafters when we can swap ideas, drink tea, make cards and maybe, just maybe a bit of a gossip too!!!

Have a great weekend.

That's it for today - short and sweet!

Lavinia Stamps and Distress Inks

Hi Everyone

Sorry I have been absent but it is really annoying when having to go to work gets in the way of crafting!  As Mother's Day is early this year I have had an extra busy time this is because I also have three birthdays at the same time!  Every evening I have come home had a microwave meal (Hubby is away on business and he usually does the cooking even though I have cooking certificates!!) and gone straight to the craft room.  Cards have now all been done so thought I would show you one plus a money wallet this evening.

The first is the money wallet - suddenly remembered I needed one as I was off to bed and so slapped around with the distress inks and added these stunning poppies from Lavinia Stamps and the card was complete in fifteen minutes!  Interestingly I also made a card for the same person and it was this money wallet she fell in love with.  The colours in real life are much deeper.

I then made this one for a male work colleague - no frills as it had to be posted and I was quite pleased with it.  I have been going along to some workshops run by my best crafty mate Eileen - check out her website here and if you can get in to any of workshops (they are always over-subscribed) do go along, they are great fun and you learn a lot too.  Eileen has introduced me to distress inks (and pan pastels) and I love them.

These are all Lavinia Stamps - they are so versatile and you can make some fantastic cards.  Remember to check out the Lavinia Challenge Blog as there is a fantastic prize for the winner.

Well I think I have said enough for one night and hopefully made up for my absence.  See you soon. Kx

Black & White Christmas

Hi Everyone hope you are all enjoying the weekend, even if it is really cold.  We spent Saturday in London as we had a free night in a hotel so we enjoyed the day at the Royal Observatory followed by a nice meal.  We then saw Shrek the Musical which was really funny.

Today I am showing a black and white Christmas Card.  Unfortunately the picture does not really do it justice.  I coloured a part of a larger stamp in black/shades of grey which I then covered with a piece of Woodware double sided clear adhestive sheet.  I ran this through the Cuttlebug and then covered with a very fine glitter (after taking off the adhesive backing of course!).  This I then mounted on a tri folded card.  The border used on top of the black layer is Frostyville border by Memory Box.  A few gems to pick out some of the snowflakes (on the side which does not have the picture just to give it a bit of extra interest) and the card is complete.

I am off to Birkenhead for a few days with work so will be leaving the Husband with the remote!  See you soon.  Kx

Sweet Girl

Hi

Here again to show you a card using a very sweet image which I coloured in with copics and really went to town on the embellishments!

I don't normally go this mad on embellishments but was very pleased with the result.  Hope you like it.  Kx

Wedding Card

Hi All and welcome to new followers and thank you for all your very kind comments.

Today I am posting a wedding card I made for a work colleague's daughter (as a commission from her).  I spent a long time making it as I did not know the happy couple and I always find that extra hard as you are really not sure what they like.  As it turned out both were delighted.  I must admit I was pleased with the outcome - what do you think?

Unfortunately the colours do not come out as well in the photographs (especially the roses which look cream - they were white!).  I am sure you get the idea though.  I coloured the image with copics and added glitter.  Using a nesties circle I cut the shoes and bouquet outside the die.  Hope you like it.  Kx

A Twinchie!

Hi

As a change from the norm I have made a Twinchie.  This is a miniature piece of art (max 2" x 2") and it is great fun.  I loved it.  I used black, pink and red distress inks which I then heat embossed.  Added a black feather and the hearts are from the new Memory Box die "Precious Hearts".  I added the "Love" sentiment and a gemstone and hey presto, one twinchie.

I am  entering this twinchie into the ‘Show us your Twinchie challenge'

I am looking forward to joining Eileen for her Distress Inks workshop tomorrow.  A day of fun and laughter as well as learning different techniques.  Enjoy your weekend.

Bodacious Lady

Hi Everyone.  No snow here today but feeling very cold, roll on the spring!  There I go wishing my life away.  I must admit I was even looking forward to Christmas this morning!!  Before you all think I am going mad I ought to explain that I booked our Christmas break today as my Mum and Step Dad are going to Scotland and we are going to join them.  As I don't see them very often I was thinking how nice it would be.  Enough of this waffling on ... here is a card I made last year for a work colleague.  He loved it (I knew he would!).  It is a Kenny K image which I have coloured using Copics.

I have added some ribbon to continue the laced up theme and glossed up the boots.  Hope you like.  See you again soon.  Karen

Elephants Galore and one Mouse

Hi Everyone and Wow! Thank you so much for becoming a follower and for all your lovely comments, they are very much appreciated.

I thought I would post a stepper card today.  I have used three Little Claire stamps and as you can see this was personalised for a little girl's birthday.

I  used bright pink card under white embossed card to show the images off as much as possible.  It is not very clear at this angle but the mouse is holding a large flower!

Thanks so much for looking today.

Congratulations Accordian Card

Hi and welcome to my first post on my very first blog.  For many years I have been very happy blog hopping and enjoying all the lovely posts of other people but thanks to the cajoling of a very good friend of mine I decided to start my own.  My friend, Eileen has many followers on her blog who enjoy the wonderful work she does so check out her beautiful craftwork here.

As it is coming up to Valentine's Day I thought I would show you this card I made using the Sizzix Bigz die Album Accordion.  I really enjoyed making this one for an engagement but could not give it away so made another one for the recipient and kept this one!!

I know the photo leaves a bit to be desired but I am sure I will improve as time goes on!

Thanks for looking.
