Retirement by the Sea

Hi Everyone - wow what a wonderful weekend we are having; the weather is beautiful and I am told the sport has been good too.

Today I have a Retirement card to show you.  Two very good friends of mine, John and Shirley have just retired and are moving to a lovely bungalow at the coast.  It is in such a lovely spot, ten minutes from the sea and even closer to the Military canal and local town.  I should have made this one earlier but my holiday got in the way so it will be winging its way to them tomorrow.

Unfortunately the photo (as usual) does not do it justice.  The blue paper on the front of the card is a much nicer blue that this shows.  Apart from the greetings these stamps are all from the same set; Kanban Crafts and I bought them as I thought they would make a good "man" card.  I shall definitely be using them again.  Just peeking through from the inside is an anchor which I stamped, embossed and cut out to make it a bit more interesting.

Hope you have a good week. Kx

Whaqt a gorgeous card, Karin....I love the stamps and the layout you've used. Did you know that you can brighten the colours on a pic, by 'fine tuning' the 'contrast' button when you go into your photo processing thingy. If this is as clear as mud, pm me and I'll explain better xx
